Forwessun delivers reliable Wireless In-Circuit Test Fixtures, offering faster testing, enhanced accuracy and tailored solutions.
Wireless In-Circuit Test Fixtures at Forwessun
At Forwessun, we have extensive experience in designing and delivering wireless ICT fixtures for a wide range of industries. Our expertise covers full, half‑bank, wireless and conventional fixtures across GenRad, Keysight, Teradyne and SPEA platforms.
We continue to refine our processes; past developments include automated probe‑map generation for interface PCB CAD, intelligent routing‑priority instructions, detecting ICT design issues and advising on solutions, identifying interface PCB risks and recommending improvements, enhancing signal fidelity, and more.
What Is a Wireless Test Fixture?
Wireless test equipment fixtures are an advanced solution designed for situations that require high node counts, high-frequency testing, or most importantly, high probe density.
Unlike traditional wired systems, wireless fixtures replace the complex and sometimes unsightly “nest” arrangement of wires inside a fixture with a streamlined internal layout. This leads to a neater, more compact design that is easier to navigate, maintain, and duplicate.
With a wireless fixture, creating an identical duplicate for expanded operations becomes more straightforward, offering consistent performance and cost savings. Additionally, the simplified structure reduces the risk of damage to probes and receptacles, resulting in longer-lasting fixtures. Wireless solutions are particularly advantageous for enhancing testing reliability, performance, and efficiency.
Enhanced Hardware Integration
At Forwessun, we have years of experience integrating additional hardware into interface PCBs to meet specific customer requirements. Our expertise includes incorporating clock dividers from leading manufacturers, programming pods for efficient testing, and customer-supplied test hardware tailored to unique needs. We also add relays to isolate sensitive signals and apply control signals, as well as pull-up and pull-down resistors configured for optimal circuit performance. Depending on the available space and design complexity, we can seamlessly integrate your test hardware into our fixtures, providing solutions that are practical, reliable, and built to high standards.
The Wireless Equipment Design Process
When it is determined that a wireless ICT fixture is the best approach, our process begins with the fixture folder (which contains the fixture.o, etc). These files are processed by specialist scripts/programs to produce a PCB card tailored to the specific requirements of the project. Additional electronic components requested by the customer are seamlessly integrated during the translator board layout phase. Once the fixture design is complete, it moves to the assembly stage, where our skilled team carefully constructs the fixture to the highest standards. Finally, our in-house software engineers perform rigorous testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
